Easter long weekend we decided to take road trip to Cornwall's beautiful rugged coast.
Morgan, Albert and I camped in a farmers field, surrounded by cows and sheep. We got a late start due to a car renting snafu, so we didn't arrive at the campground until 1:00am. Set camp quickly and slept.
Saturday I got up early and went for a run along the coast and up to the top of Queen Victoria Point in Boscastle. Later that day we all went down to the quaint little Boacastle harbor. Saw the sights there and went to the Witchcraft Museum. Only museum I've ever been in that allows "familiars".
After that we headed a bit further south to Tintagel, where King Arthur is from. Due to its "royal" history, Richard Earl of Cornwall decided to build his castle here in the 13th century. Of course, we scammed our way in for free by acting like confused foreigners that didn't understand what "exit only" meant. Fantastic views from the top of the cliffs.
Wrapped it all up by stopping off for the best Cornish Pasties from Pengenna Pasties and a pint Ye Olde Malthouse.
Next day we head on a long drive to the edge of England. From Boscastle down to Port Isaac, a.k.a. Port Wenn where we looked to run into our friends Louisa, P.C. Penhail, and Mrs. Tischel. They must have been out with their friend Doctor Martin.
From there we drove on to St. Ives for a lovely Sunday pub roast, then weaved our way down single lane roads and through quaint villages on to Lands End. Closest we could get to North America for the holiday.
