Day 23: L'Arc

Jon at Arc de Triomphe

Kind of an interesting day to be at the Arc. Today is the anniversary of the liberation of Paris by the Allied forces during WWII. There were a bunch of WWII vets laying wreaths next to the eternal flame at the tomb of the unknown soldier underneath the Arc.

  1. There is so much history in that place. Amazing. Jon, you and Mo must have walked through that gate? Is that possible? Were you able to go up the tower?

  2. we decided not go up for the view from on top. But, yeah, you walk right underneath. Got to read the history behind it and Napoleon, take pics of all the intricate sculptures that surround it. It was really a highlight so far.
